We use collaboration to help you create and execute better strategy.

We’re a small team of big thinkers who love nothing more than solving tricky problems and exploring how good digital can help our clients.

We help our clients join dots and translate — we work independently and collaboratively in the space between clients and digital/IT agencies. We help both parties understand, challenge and get the most from each other. We believe that by working together we get better and do better.

We know from experience that positive results come from good decisions, made with clarity, and in collaboration. We also know that good decisions last longer.

Tom Hovey

Managing director

Tom is a veritable venn diagram of design, data, development, creativity and communication. Tom’s focus is on helping organisations make effective digital decisions. Since developing websites that fit on floppy-disks in the mid-90s, Tom has founded a digital agency in NZ, grown a start-up in the UK, and acquired a few children. They're an ongoing project.

Anna Bourke

Data strategist

With a maths degree and a love for big numbers, Anna first tried the banking sector. But she soon decided pant suits weren't for her and found her calling wrangling data and clients for digital companies. In-between crunching numbers and pushing projects at Diagram, Anna also manages a couple of projects of her own called Frida and Remy.

Libby Callander

Content strategist

After leading the marketing and communications team at Wellington Zoo, Libby flew the coop to join the Diagram pack where she translates her love for understanding how people (and animals) behave into improved engagement with websites, social media, better content and traditional media.

Marielle de Geest

Strategy and design

With a knack for wrangling words, workstreams and research, Marielle brings the structured thinking of her design background to the Diagram table to tackle client problems big and small. She’s a big fan of IPAs, sunny days, and firm handshakes.

Celia McAlpine

Strategy and design

Celia draws on her formally acquired visual communications skillset to tackle all the challenges of a digital project. She uses design thinking and data analysis to translate complex information into comprehensible content for all types of audiences.
